 Nick Archer, Chairman of Hertfordshire Interact for several years and Managing Partner of Gyoury Self Partnership (St Albans) LLP, will shortly be stepping into the role of Interact National President.
Nick is very much looking forward to taking over from Derek Packer and would like to thank Derek for all his hard work and sound leadership, in particular ensuring that branches are made more aware of the philosophy and benefits of Interact membership.
Nick commented:
"Derek took up the reins when Interact needed a boost and in his typical straightforward and determined way he has enabled more frequent contact with the membership via this newsletter and local meetings. At the same time he has brought new and dynamic people onto the National Committee. During the period of my Presidency I am keen to continue his good work, ensuring that the core values and traditions of Interact are maintained, at the same time acknowledging that each of our branches operates in its own unique way.”
“I appreciate that these tough economic times can cause networking and social events to be placed on the back-burner but I consider that it is equally important to maintain and increase ones key contacts and thus create opportunities for future work. I firmly believe that the Interact forum is an ideal vehicle for this objective.
Part of my vision is to give all Branch Chairmen an opportunity to profile their branch, membership and activities over the course of 2012 in the newsletter and so to enhance a sense of cohesion between the branches and the National organisation.’’
Nick is looking forward to working with Steve Oliver, Sarah Chapman, Max Ward and David Jones, the other members of the National Committee, along with Derek Packer as outgoing President and Wendy von Niebel, our longstanding Administrator. |
